Resources and Support for Peers

Providing hope, modeling recovery, coaching, engaging, and connecting are just some of the ways peers make a difference in the lives of others. They see the whole person and know that recovery is much more than just "symptom management." The mutuality that is essential in peer support means that both the person giving support and the person receiving support benefit from the relationship.

As the field grows and more people learn about the importance of peer support in behavioral health, additional challenges and opportunities for growth will appear. The Center for Peer Support serves as a source of information and resources to be used both by those interested in peer support and for peers themselves.
